Join us for our annual River Town Racers 2025 Turkey Relay

River Town Racers invites you to the most ridiculous race of the year: the 2025 Turkey Relay on Saturday, November 29th, 8:30 am, the Saturday after Thanksgiving!
This chaotic sprint is open to all solo human-powered watercraft—from kayaks, surfskis, SUPs, and canoes (OC1s) to 1x shells and everything in between! You'll be randomly assigned to teams and pitted against each other on a short flatwater course. Costumes are highly encouraged!
Competitor prizes are humble, but the real fun begins after the race! Join us at 11am at Grand Central Cafe overlooking the course for a no-host reception, awards ceremony, and a fundraising raffle packed with terrific prizes. Every raffle ticket benefits our youth sprint kayaking club.

Our History
In 2014 they found their first summer camper who wanted to go on. Seven years later, in 2021, that same camper won a silver medal at the World Championships for athletes under age 23.
The club formed with Craig Caddell, the camper’s father, as co-founder and in 2018 RTR incorporated as a California 501(c)(3).
Since its founding, RTR has served nearly 100 young people of varied backgrounds and abilities.
